                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 412 EAST
                   2ND STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHEAST LINE OF EAST
                   2ND STREET AT SPRING STREET FROM R-4 SPECIAL
                   ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 412 East 2nd Street,
                being on the southeast line of East 2nd Street at
                Spring Street.  The east one-half of lot 6, and the
                east one-half of the north one-half of lot 8,
                Original Town, High Street, not recorded; being the
                property described in deed book 3910, page 57,
                ROHC.  Tax Map No. 135M-K-6.
               
         from R-4 Special Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Subject to proposed use only.
        
              2.   Subject to provision of parking as required by the 
City
                   Traffic Engineer.
        
              3.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
